Mountain Lion/Cougar Rug

We are selling this enormous taxidermy rug of a mountain lion. The “tom” in question is one of the larger species, measuring 8 feet 2 inches in length. The rug has a double felt lined backing and is beautifully crafted. A complete taxidermy head with an open mouth and broad ears was used to create the mount.

Although the rug is well-made, there is some damage to it. Near one paw, the felt is torn and missing (see photographs attached). Additionally, one side of the ear tip has some slight damage, which is typical for taxidermy heads on floor carpets. There are some little cracks in the tail, and the skin is not as pliable and flexible as it once was.

Apart from the aforementioned critics, he is a stunning cat with a powerful presence. Put this item on display at your house, cabin, lodge, or place of business. He will look fantastic with a collection of game or predator animals from North America. Or make him the main attraction in any situation. This rug’s colors and hair thickness are excellent, and he will look fantastic on display.

The total length is 98 inches, with front feet measuring 64 inches and rear feet measuring 68 inches. Mountain lions, sometimes referred to as cougars or “pumas,” are found over much of North America, including areas of Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
