Tsessebe Shoulder Taxidermy Mount
An attractive Gold Medal class African Tsessebe (also known as “Sassaby”) is listed below. With horn lengths exceeding 16 inches and bases of 8 inches each, this mount boasts excellent horn sizes. With a total SCI score of 49 1/8, the Gold Medal classification threshold is exceeded. Excellent taxidermy with the head raised and a slight right turn toward the room. A fantastic addition to any wildlife enthusiast’s collection of African or exotic mounts. The ears on this piece were little damaged, but they have been fixed. An “Excellent” item all around.
Pronounced “Sass-a-be,” the Tsessebe is a huge species of African antelope. Although this species’ horns aren’t as striking as those of Sable, Waterbuck, or Kudu, they still have a distinctive appearance and are a fantastic addition to an African animal collection. The overall measurements of this mount are 37 inches high by 17 inches wide by 29 inches deep. Bull is suspended from a single, sturdy fastening.
