Barren Ground Caribou Shoulder Mount
An excellent illustration of a Barren Ground Caribou is this one. We give this item a “Excellent” rating because of the superb taxidermy technique and the remarkable coloring of the mount. This Alaskan bull is in the prize class and has a very excellent set of antlers. This bull’s beams are 45 7/8″ on the left and 47 6/8″ on the right. A good-sized shovel across the forehead as well. (See the pictures attached.) The Boone & Crockett Club and Safari Club International (SCI) do not classify racks as typical or non-typical for caribou, one of the species of antlered large game.
The mount’s overall measurements are 40 inches deep (from the wall to the outer ends of the antlers), 48 inches wide, and 55 inches high (from the bottom of the chest to the tallest point). This rack’s maximum overall width is 46 4/8 inches. A large caribou that would serve as the centerpiece of a collection of big game species from North America. Additionally, this mount would be a fantastic stand-alone piece for the house or place of business. In the lower 48, caribou are virtually extinct. As a result, lodges, residences, and various commercial spaces are less likely to have them.
