African Blesbok Shoulder Mount

This attractive blesbok from southern Africa is shown here. Safari Club International (SCI) recognizes this buck as a medal-class mount. His horns are excellent, measuring 15 2/8 and 14 7/8 inches in length and 5 6/8 inches in circumference on each side. With a total horn size score of 41 5/8″, the class is eligible for a bronze medal.

The mount glances slightly to his left into the room while striking the traditional head-up attitude. This Blesbok possesses the distinctive horns that are typical of males as well as the normal markings for the species. Hair quality and craftsmanship are both excellent, as is coloring. A small repair has been made to the right ear, although it is not apparent unless the tip is closely examined.

The total mount dimensions are 21 inches deep by 33 inches high by 16 inches wide. This mount has received an “Excellent” rating from us. He would look fantastic as a stand-alone topic piece or as part of a collection of exotic or African wildlife. An excellent addition to the house, lodge, or place of business…
