Rocky Mountain Bull Elk Taxidermy
This is a large taxidermy mount of a Rocky Mountain Elk. A great position where the bull looks along the wall to the viewer’s right while making a strong left (elk’s left) turn. closed mouth, ears out, and more than 40 inches of inner spread. An elk with good hair length and thickness and a lovely color. We would have rated this as “Excellent” if it weren’t for a small amount of ear damage. We knocked him down to a solid “Nice”+ since, regrettably, he was handled a little roughly at some point in the past and has some ear damage that is obvious upon close inspection (see attached images).
The mount’s overall measurements are 55″ high/tall x 45″ broad x 48″ deep (from the wall into the room). This piece of taxidermy is suspended from a single, sturdy fastener. Include this object in your house, cabin, lodge, or place of business. would look fantastic as a stand-alone trophy for exhibition or in a collection of North American game animals. One side of the rack has six points, whereas the other side has five or more.
We are not as lenient with the terminology as some are, but the “-” denotes a little point on the side that is theoretically long enough to be considered a “point” because it is more than one inch from the center of the main beam. This is an excellent-sized rack and a trophy worth showcasing, even with 11 total points.
