Eland Bull Pedestal Mount. X-148EL
This is a remarkable taxidermy listing of an African “Livingstone” Eland. For both his size and the quality of the craftsmanship, this Zimbabwean bull is a showpiece. In terms of overall size and condition, we have given this a “Premier” rating. He is an incredibly lovely mount that would look fantastic in any collection. I’ve included images to highlight the exquisite detail work in the dewlap, shoulders, and neck. The famous Jonas Brothers performed taxidermy work.
This is a SCI (Safari Club International) Medal Class bull in addition to being a very detailed taxidermy item! His horns are more than 26 inches long, with bases that are 10 6/8 and 11 0/8 inches. The distance between the points is 15 7/8″. This piece is the greatest we have ever seen of an African Eland.
The entire installation measures 88 inches high by 50 inches deep (from nose to back) by 28 inches broad. Give this work plenty of room to be displayed and appreciated. The base is a beautiful piece of hard wood that adds elegance to the mount. With the exception of your display space, the pedestal offers an amazing view from every aspect. He is facing forward, turning to his left, and staring into the space. (See the pictures attached.)
Livingstone Eland is found in a number of Eastern African countries. In 2003, this bull was captured in Zimbabwe.
