African Eland Shoulder Mount
This is a very nice sized South African Eland bull shoulder mount. He strikes a fantastic stance and has outstanding horn sizes (about 23 5/8″ and 24 2/8″). This unusual mount’s flaw stems from inappropriate storage. You can notice that he has hair loss on the left side of his face and neck in the pictures that are attached. Even though this species didn’t have a dense coat of hair to begin with, the mount is clearly damaged. We have decided to include the subject (Eland) in our collection despite the fact that he is a rare species.
Be aware beforehand that he belongs to a lower grade rather than a flawless showroom category. Nevertheless, he is a fantastic subject in a wonderful attitude and has a good horn size. There are still displays, in our opinion, that he would do well.
This mount is 27 inches wide, 53 inches high, and 41 inches deep. Plan appropriately because he needs a significant amount of room. He will be suspended from a single securely fastened screw. He is facing to his right and staring into the room while holding his head forward.
We recently acquired this nice-sized Eland bull to add to our collection of unusual African game horses. We acquired this species, along with a few others, from the personal collection of a wildlife biologist who had the opportunity to hunt throughout the world, including Africa.
