This is a fantastic bronze sculpture by Robert (Bob) Winship. It shows a gorgeous Labrador Retriever with its tail raised, standing alert. It is a solid bronze piece with an oval base (or plinth) made of magnificent wood and is titled “Amos.” The bronze piece with the number “1/25” is a fantastic collector’s item. It also has the title “Amos” and the date “1987 by Bob Winship.”
Robert Winship’s bronze sculptures are well-known. He hails from Minnesota and is well-known for his hunting and wildlife subjects. His bronzes are highly sought after and collectible.
Because Amos is made of solid bronze and wood, it weighs a lot. The base measures around 12 inches in length and 7 1/2 inches in depth. Just a bit more than 8 inches is the entire height. Except for a few scratches on the base’s underside, everything is in excellent shape. None that are apparent when seated. (See the photographs attached.)
This item would look fantastic in a collection or on its own in the office, lodge, cabin, or den. This topic is popular among dog lovers and hunters.
