Brown Bear Taxidermy Rug

We recently purchased this unique bear skin rug. There is both good and bad news regarding this item. First, the negative The fact that the bear’s head was not affixed to the rug makes this bear skin unique. This item’s feet and claws have sustained some damage, aside from the peculiar mount style. (See the pictures attached.) To demonstrate that each foot has missing toes or claws, I included images of each paw. Twelve claws remain. Therefore, it is not possible to restore this rug to a high standard of quality or appearance.

The good news is that this bear was rather huge and had a lovely, uniform brown color. The bear’s length from neck to tail is still 63 inches, thus its overall length would have been greater than six feet. Both the thickness and the even hue of the hair are wonderful. To be honest, this item still has potential, but it will require some effort and imagination. We have designated this as a cabin grade listing due to the damage and position. We have set the pricing appropriately!
