Greater Kudu Pair- Taxidermy Mount. X-148KU
For the avid collector of African or exotic species, we have a centerpiece piece of taxidermy! A stunning work with a SCI prize class bull and a cow (or doe) of the species perched on his shoulder. Perched atop a pedestal base with alternating inset panels of kudu and zebra skin on six sides, this piece is expertly created (see attached photographs).
The huge horns of this bull are 49-0/8″ on the right side and 49-6/8″ on the left, with bases measuring 10 3/8″. Fantastic turns that end in ivory points. SCI Awards qualifying class. The doe (or cow) perched on his shoulder is a lovely companion with focus and alert ears. If one would rather focus only on the bull, the female may likewise be omitted. Both the cow and the bull separate from the base.
Give this enormous piece of taxidermy plenty of room. The mount is about 5″ wide and 3″ deep, with an overall height of 8’7″. It takes a lot of display space to properly appreciate a masterpiece like this. The base itself is 30 inches tall and 21 inches wide at the flat panels with the kudu and zebra hide insets.
There are a few critics of this item, which prevented it from receiving a higher score. This bull’s horns have been reattached, and there is a tiny opening where the horns and scalp meet at the back of the head. There is a tiny ding on one point of the wood base near the rear of the mount. Additionally, two of the base’s rocks are damaged (see photographs attached). This would have received a “World Class” taxidermy rating if it weren’t for these small criticisms. As a result, the price has been reduced to reflect the grade.
All things considered, this is a fantastic, unique mount that is ideal for the showroom that displays enormous wildlife from the African continent. Purchase this taxidermy to put on display at the lodge, showroom, house, or place of business alongside any collection of exotic game animals.
